How the course works
Learn, then prove it
Each lesson teaches one concept in short screens, shows worked examples, gives guided practice with hints and independent practice, then a mastery check. You need 85% to master a lesson and unlock the next one.
Strict unlocking
Modules end in a mastery challenge. The next world opens only when all four skill tracks are complete and the world final is passed, with at least 70% in each skill. XP, streaks and badges never skip a prerequisite. Already know a topic? Pass a mastery challenge or world final early to test out of it.
Rewards that mean something
Earn XP for first completions, module and world completions, daily quests and weekly challenges. Keep a learning streak, collect badges and review every mistake with spaced repetition.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Learn PTE course free?
Yes. Every lesson, practice activity and mastery check is free, with no account and no payment. Your progress is saved in your browser.
Why is the next lesson locked?
Lessons unlock in order. A lesson unlocks when you master the one before it: finish its teaching screens, pass the independent practice (80%) and pass its mastery check (85%). Modules unlock when you pass the previous module's mastery challenge, and the next world unlocks when all four skill tracks of the current world are complete and the world final assessment is passed. XP, streaks and badges never unlock content.
What happens if I fail a mastery check?
You see which skills caused the gap, get the explanation for every item and targeted revision, and you can try again as many times as you like. Lessons you have already mastered stay open.
Does the course predict my PTE score?
No. Mastery percentages are learning thresholds inside this course, not PTE scores. For an estimate of your test performance, take a full mock test on MocksPTE; it reports an estimate, not an official result.
Where is my progress stored?
In this browser on this device, using local storage. Nothing is sent to a server. The progress page lets you export your progress as a file and import it on another device.
How does the course check my speaking and writing?
Speaking activities record your voice and, in Chrome, Edge and Safari, use the browser's speech recognition to check content (the words you said). Writing activities are checked for length, form and key ideas. Neither reproduces Pearson's pronunciation, fluency or grammar scoring, so each lesson also gives you a model answer and a checklist.
