PTE in Vietnam: Fees, Booking and Passport Checklist

How much is the PTE exam fee in Vietnam?

With Vietnam selected, Pearson's official fee finder displayed USD 185 for PTE Academic and USD 185 for PTE Academic UKVI on 14 October 2026. Check the price again when you book; this is a dated quote, not a fixed price for every future test.

A Vietnamese dong amount on a training provider's website may be a conversion or a separate package quote. It is not necessarily the amount your payment provider will charge. Compare the test fee, currency conversion, any payment charges and any optional services separately.

Pay using a method offered in the official checkout. Pearson's payment policy requires payment in the specified currency and says voucher payments are not refundable. Read the applicable terms before buying a voucher or paying an intermediary.

Where can you take PTE in Vietnam?

We checked Pearson's live PTE Academic appointment search on 14 October 2026. It returned the following Vietnamese venues across a Vietnam search and a separate Hanoi search. Names below are shortened for readability.

Use this as a starting point, then confirm the address, test version and available date in the booking system. A listed centre does not guarantee a seat on your preferred day. We have deliberately not published appointment times that could disappear after this check.

What if Pearson shows zero centres?

During our check, Pearson's public fee page displayed zero centres for Vietnam, while its linked appointment search returned Vietnamese venues. A zero count on that page alone therefore did not establish that testing was unavailable. Open the appointment search, enter your city and inspect the results. If the results are still unclear, contact Pearson support before arranging travel.

Check the country as well as the distance. Our Vietnam search also returned centres in neighbouring countries. Do not assume every result is inside Vietnam.

Choose the test your application actually requires

PTE Academic is intended for academic study and specified work or migration routes. An institution's acceptance and minimum score still need checking for your particular course or application.

• University study: check the course's official English requirements for the test name, overall score and any minimum skill scores.
• Australia: university admission and visa requirements are separate checks. Our Australia PTE score requirements guide explains the distinction and links to official rules.
• A UK route requiring a four-skill SELT: check whether you need PTE Academic UKVI before selecting a booking.
• Canadian Express Entry: IRCC specifies PTE Core. An Academic booking is not a substitute.

Pearson's Vietnam fee cards did not list Core during our check. That observation does not establish availability for another date or country: search for the exact test you need. MocksPTE's practice resources cover PTE Academic.

How to book PTE Academic in Vietnam

1. Record your required test and score. Save the official course or application requirement before choosing an exam.
2. Search for a centre and date. Start at Pearson's website, select the correct test and enter a Vietnamese city. Check the full address and time.
3. Sign in to or create your myPTE account. Use an email you can access and have your passport beside you.
4. Check identity fields before payment. Compare your name and personal details with your passport using the checklist below.
5. Review the terms and total. Read the cancellation and rescheduling conditions displayed for the booking, then pay through the official flow.
6. Verify confirmation. Check the appointment in myPTE and the confirmation email. Save the centre address and arrival instructions.

These steps follow Pearson's booking guide. A payment message from an intermediary is not a replacement for checking your actual appointment.

Passport and Vietnamese name checklist

For PTE Academic, bring the original, valid passport used for the booking. Pearson's ID policy requires matching personal details and does not accept a phone image or photocopy. Its current Academic country-exceptions list contains no Vietnam exception allowing a national ID instead. Do not plan to use a CCCD in place of your passport for Academic.

Use the fields on your own document, not an assumed English name order. Pearson's account rules put family names in the surname field and given names, including middle names, in the given-name field.

This is a made-up example, not an instruction to rearrange every Vietnamese name that way. If your passport presents the name differently or the split is unclear, ask Pearson before booking. Follow its Roman-character guidance rather than adding an English nickname or dropping a middle name.

• Compare every name field, date of birth, citizenship and gender with the ID.
• Check that the passport will still be valid on test day and that you will have the physical document.
• Resolve a mismatch with Pearson promptly; do not rely on test-centre staff correcting it on arrival.

These are Academic checks. Pearson publishes separate identification provisions for UKVI/SELT tests, so read the policy for the version you booked.

Prepare before spending the exam fee

Start with a free PTE Academic mock test. Use it to identify tasks you have never attempted and sections where you run out of time. A practice estimate is a progress check, not a guarantee of the official result.

Check that your preparation includes Summarize Group Discussion practice and Respond to a Situation practice. These were added in Pearson's August 2025 update. Use the current PTE Academic format guide if your materials still show only the older task set.

1. Choose one problem from the mock. For example, your response stops before explaining the main point, or your essay takes too long to finish.
2. Practise that task in isolation. The question-type practice hub lets you repeat the relevant format.
3. Review and retry. On the essay practice page, optional paid AI evaluation provides more detailed feedback using credits. These are MocksPTE estimates, not Pearson scores.
4. Return to a timed mock. Check whether the specific problem improved. Use the four-week study plan to organize further work around your available time.

Your final test-day and deadline checks

Pearson asks you to arrive at least 30 minutes early. Recheck the address in your confirmation, carry the required original ID and allow travel time beyond the check-in window. Do not schedule around an assumed same-day result. Pearson's scoring help centre says results usually arrive within two days but can take up to five working days; additional checks can take longer. Leave room for delays and any further attempt before your application deadline.
